this night was def not as cold as the last. thanks for the setup teef!

It was a nice retreat. As always, I dread the part where you have to pack and go, but once I'm there I usually always enjoy it. Although the nights and morning were FREEZING, the day time was absolutely perfect. We had applicable and engaging sermons by Joseph about discipleship, great small group time with Eva and Erica, and great bonding with my fellow bros and sisters in Christ.

This was the first retreat where we were the oldest. And we always worried about what we would do without the previous 'manly' alum with the fires and tents, etc. But the girls really stepped it up. It was majority all the girls doing all the cooking, tent set ups, fire, and food! THANK YOU MINERVUS! She budgetted extremely well and cokked the BOMBEST food ever that tasted great and fed us all! And great job Jenn for manning the retreat for the most part, esp the first day and night.

We always worry about these things and try to think of solutions on what we think will fix the problem, but God always has the ultimate plan and control. We were pretty stressed for pre-retreat plans, but everything worked out according to how He wanted it. SUCCESS!

It was also kind of nice how off schedule it was. We really just got to relax and enjoy the great outdoors and chit chat with the other people of Compass.

Woot woot!
